His rare combination of academic depth and practical insight—shaped by a finance degree from the University of Dhaka, a Master’s in Supply Chain Management from Bangalore, an MPhil, and a PhD focused on Southeast Asia’s grain procurement policies—has made him a cornerstone in advancing feed science in the region. Mr. Rahman is also one of only three registered Bangladeshi members of the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) and has completed GAFTA’s prestigious four-stage arbitrator course in London, reinforcing his standing as an international trade and arbitration specialist.
Throughout his career, he has applied his extensive knowledge of feed science to formulate high-performing poultry, cattle, and fish feed using diverse ingredients such as wheat, barley, and groundnut. Notably, he has been a pioneer in introducing new, highly effective feed formulations to the Bangladeshi market—many of which had never been used in local production before. His ability to bridge global innovation with local application has significantly improved feed quality, animal health, and producer profitability.

Md. Habibur Rahman, CEO

Mr. Shakibur Rahman has been serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Mcdonald Crops since 2020. He commenced his professional journey after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, during which he developed a strong academic and practical foundation in logistics, procurement, and supply chain operations.

He began his career in India, serving as a Warehouse Coordinator at Flipkart India, where he was responsible for inventory management and operational coordination. He subsequently joined Wipro India as a Junior Supply Chain Analyst, gaining extensive experience in supply chain analytics, process optimization, and operational planning. Following the accumulation of international professional experience, Mr. Rahman returned to Bangladesh to assume leadership responsibilities at Mcdonald Crops.

In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Rahman has completed the knowledge level part of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) from the Institute of Risk Management (IRM). He is also a Certified Corporate Banking & Credit Analyst (CBCA) from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI), Canada. Furthermore, he completed his Master’s degree in Supply Chain Finance.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Rahman is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall financial management and strategic planning. His key duties include financial reporting and compliance, budgeting and forecasting, treasury and cash flow management, banking and financial institution coordination, foreign exchange risk management, investment evaluation, capital structuring, and financial risk assessment. He plays a central role in developing and implementing financial strategies to support business expansion, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. Additionally, he supervises internal controls, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides financial insights to support executive decision-making and corporate governance.
